I believe that writing creative nonfiction is probably where I have found myself as a writer. I think that I use my creative side to make stories and imagine things that I normally wouldn't. It helps me think in a way that is not necessarily "Scholarly". Now, I also really enjoy journalism. I have written for the school newspaper at Buckeye High School, and also Mount Union. I find that this is something that I could possibly develop a passion for. Although I really enjoy both of these styles of writing, I don't think that I will make a career out of them. I do think that I could make a career out of something that I do like.
I have been playing poker for quite a while now, I have really enjoyed doing this and I think that I could use my writing to help me get better at not only playing poker, but making a name for myself. I would like to write a personal book that helps poker players. I think that this is something that I will really do. I would also like to write for casinos. I think that it would be fun and I would be good at making rules for pit bosses. I would like to make the poker room rules, and do it in a way that people understand them. Some poker rooms have very confusing rules and they aren't written for the real audience at hand, the players.
I think that also I still am kind of confused at what I want to do, I know what forms and genres I enjoy and I may use this in the future to figure out what exactly I want to write about. I want to write and I want people to want to read what I write. Hopefully I will figure out just what genre I want to write in.
